Australia Unveils Defence Delivery Agency in Biggest Defence Department Overhaul in 50 Years
Australia will create a new Defence Delivery Agency by July 2027, consolidating three major procurement groups into one body with its own budget and leadership. The move follows years of project delays and cost overruns, with the merged groups currently handling nearly 40% of Defence spending. The agency will report directly to ministers and be led by a National Armaments Director.
