Royal Air Philippines liquidation strands travelers as Romania’s Legend Airlines goes dormant
Royal Air Philippines entered liquidation after halting all flights on Jan. 4, leaving 3,000 to 4,000 passengers stranded and seeking refunds, according to Kursiv and Travelling for Business. The carrier’s website said refunds are being processed but gave no timeline for resuming flights. CEO Eduardo Novillas had warned of weak demand weeks earlier. Legend Airlines, a Romanian operator, also ceased operations after retiring its last aircraft.
