    July 1, 2026, 12:11 AM EDT. SpaceX is moving into the Nasdaq-100 on July 7 after raising $85.7 billion in the biggest IPO to date. Funds that track the Nasdaq-100 will have to buy around $4.3 billion of SpaceX stock to match the index. The name gets in just 15 trading days after the IPO because Nasdaq let its rules loosen for quicker entry. SpaceX joins without knocking anyone out, pushing the member count above 100 for now. Even with its $2 trillion value, SpaceX's slice of the Nasdaq-100 will be less than 1% at the start under the index's weighting method. For investors in Nasdaq-100 funds, the change means indirect exposure to SpaceX, though the effect on portfolios stays small outside the short-lived buy surge.
