Schroders share price holds near 586p — what’s keeping SDR below Nuveen’s 612p bid

Schroders shares edged up 0.1% to 586 pence in early London trading after news of its cash takeover by Nuveen at up to 612 pence a share. Computershare Trustees held 2.52% of shares as of Feb. 17, while Harris Associates exited its stake ahead of the deal. Cazenove, Schroders’ wealth arm, will cut interest on client cash deposits from May. Schroders’ final dividend goes ex-dividend March 12.
