July 2, 2026, 11:15 AM EDT. Cotton futures gave back 11 to 21 points early Thursday, erasing part of Wednesday's sharp late rally that lifted prices by more than 100 points. Market direction is harder to read with crude oil down $1.41 at $68.09 and the US dollar index up at 101.200. The Cotlook A Index stayed flat at 85.30 cents Tuesday. ICE certified stocks didn't change, still at 185,034 bales for June 30. The Adjusted World Price rose by 151 points last week to 63.88 cents a pound and gets revised Thursday. Market hours shift this week with the July 4th holiday, so trading resumes Sunday night after a three-day break.
