Argentina’s Space Industry Is Taking Off: Inside the Satellite Boom and What’s Next

Argentina launched its first rockets in the 1960s and established its civilian space agency, CONAE, in 1991. CONAE has placed six satellites in orbit, including the SAOCOM radar pair launched in 2018 and 2020.
