  • Investors Missing Out on 6%-10% Yields in Closed-End Funds
July 10, 2026, 10:23 AM EDT. Some on Wall Street may be passing over closed-end funds, even as these vehicles post yields from 6.0% to 10.4% and trade below net asset value. Many CEFs are now priced at discounts of 4%-14%, which could mean cheaper access to quality assets. The Taiwan Fund (TWN) gives a 6.6% yield, focused on semiconductor names like Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing, and trades at a 14% discount. Calamos Global Dynamic Income Fund (CHW) yields 8.2% with a global mix of stocks and bonds. For income-seekers, these CEFs may stand out as potential picks while valuations remain high elsewhere.
