Bank of America stock (BAC) holds near 52-week high after accounting change trims key capital ratio
Bank of America said a change in accounting for tax-related equity investments would have reduced its CET1 ratio by 13 basis points as of Sept. 30, 2025, and cut retained earnings by $1.7 billion. Shares closed up 0.63% at $57.25 Tuesday, just below the 52-week high. The bank reports earnings Jan. 14. U.S. jobs data is due Jan. 9.
