Visa stock price ticks higher ahead of earnings as Mastercard results set the tone
Visa shares rose 0.9% to $329.82 by late morning Thursday, ahead of its fiscal Q1 earnings release after the bell. Mastercard reported better-than-expected profit and announced plans to cut 4% of its workforce, sending its shares up over 1.7%. Rothschild Redburn upgraded Visa to “buy” and raised its price target to $385. Visa also filed amendments restricting some officer liabilities under Delaware law.
