Westpac share price dips as NAB earnings steal the spotlight; CPI is the next test
Westpac shares closed down 1.17% at A$40.52 on Wednesday, while NAB hit a record high after posting a 16% rise in first-quarter cash earnings. Commonwealth Bank and ANZ also slipped. The S&P/ASX 200 rose 0.5%. Traders are watching for Australia’s January CPI data due Feb. 25.
