The currency boost is helpful, though limited. Financials accounted for 13% of exchange revenue. As a result, ICE requires wider volume gains and steady data expansion to balance out the drop in energy trading.

Risks: Fluctuations in the dollar could subside without producing sustained increases in volume. The MarketAxess transaction remains subject to regulatory clearance. Additional borrowing may dampen share repurchases or reduce returns if expected integration benefits are delayed.
Producer prices are due for release on Thursday. For ICE investors, close attention will be on whether financial-products revenue can maintain its 21% growth rate as management oversees and integrates a $6 billion acquisition.
