The agreement, Boeing said, involves over 75 aircraft, including 737 MAX and 787 models, and aims to reduce maintenance downtime by swapping serviceable landing-gear units from a managed pool.

The shift unfolds as airline executives and suppliers pack the Singapore Airshow this week, grappling with supply-chain bottlenecks that have throttled new aircraft availability. “There is a mismatch of demand-supply,” Jeffrey Lam, president of ST Engineering’s commercial aerospace division, said at the event. A spokesperson for Singapore Airlines said the carrier has “built flexibility into our fleet plans,” including holding onto Boeing 777-300ERs.
