NEW YORK, September 3, 2026, 04:00 EDT — Broadcom’s softer forecast put pressure on technology futures, while oil prices eased.
- At 03:51 EDT, futures for the S&P 500 and Nasdaq-100 were both trading 0.01% higher than their settlement levels.
- WTI slipped 0.54% to $90.52, as gold gained 1.29% to reach $4,471.60.
- Broadcom shares dropped 1.49% in premarket trade after the company’s revenue forecast came in below expectations.
U.S. stock futures held steady ahead of Thursday’s market open. Slipping oil prices provided support, yet a weaker forecast from Broadcom dampened tech sentiment.
The impact of the split remains significant after this week’s volatility was fuelled by oil prices and bond yields. A slight pullback in energy has not triggered a widespread risk-on mood.
