Her partner and a neighbour with medical training were able to call Triple Zero (000) for help. Telstra also checked and found no emergency calls failed from their numbers. Early claims of a delayed response because of the outage were incorrect and upset the family. Police and Telstra both said the outage did impact some calls, but not this case.
