Vanguard ETF Drops Six of Top 10 Holdings After Outperforming S&P 500

The Vanguard Russell 2000 ETF is up 20.74% on a net asset value basis in 2026 through Friday, outpacing the Vanguard S&P 500 ETF by 9.40 percentage points. But six of VTWO’s ten largest positions at the end of May left its benchmark in the June index reshuffle.

EchoStar Dish bankruptcy raises questions on $3.6 billion wireless claim shortfall

EchoStar’s looming bankruptcy issue goes beyond the $2 billion note coming due. The market focus is now on the $2.4 billion FCC trust compared to over $6 billion in 5G shutdown claims that are being disputed. Numbers from the court filings suggest a gap of more than $3.6 billion, topping 12% of EchoStar’s current market cap.

AT&T shares slide as trading jumps, spectrum move puts income appeal to test

AT&T Inc. tumbled Tuesday, closing off 5.13% at $20.70 after sliding to a 52-week low of $20.57. Volume spiked to 128.67 million shares, 296% of the 65-day average. The S&P 500 Index added 0.79% to finish at 7,499.36. U.S. markets traded a standard session. The NYSE’s next holiday is July 3 for Independence Day.

EchoStar drops as Dish DBS bankruptcy report comes up against June 30 convertible note deadline

EchoStar Corporation traded down 1.5% to $99.28 after opening, as Dish DBS bankruptcy chatter took a bite out of the stock. EchoStar, which dropped its SATS ticker for ECHO on June 24, also heads into the last day for investors to convert its 2030 convertible notes on Tuesday.

EchoStar (ECHO) reset pulls attention to AT&T cash and SpaceX index moves

EchoStar Corporation added 1.7% to $98.84 early Friday on Nasdaq, taking back some of the ground lost after changing its ticker from SATS. The stock had ended June 23 at $103.92, its last full day as SATS, then dropped to $97.19 by June 25, off 6.5% after two sessions as ECHO. Trading volumes reached 8.74 million shares June 24 and 8.71 million June 25, both lower than the 11.74 million traded June 23.

EchoStar drops after Nasdaq changes ticker to ECHO

EchoStar Corp shares slipped at the open in New York on Wednesday after the company swapped its Nasdaq ticker to ECHO from SATS.
