MLB uses Hawk-Eye cameras in all ballparks to power Statcast, tracking pitches and player movement for analytics and replay reviews. An Automated Ball-Strike System lets teams challenge umpire calls in spring training, overturning about half of challenged calls. Since 2022, all teams use PitchCom, a wireless pitch-calling system. MLB has also approved wearables like Motus sleeves and WHOOP straps for in-game player monitoring.
