Oklo shares jumped nearly 20% in premarket trade on Friday after Meta Platforms said it would back the nuclear developer’s plan for up to 1.2 gigawatts of new capacity in Ohio, part of a broader push to lock down power for data centers. Meta also signed 20-year deals to buy electricity from three Vistra nuclear plants and will support small modular reactor projects with TerraPower. Meta executive Joel Kaplan said the plan would “make Meta one of the most significant corporate purchasers of nuclear energy in American history.”
