Direct war damage in Ukraine reached $176 billion by end-2024, with 72% of losses in frontline regions. An updated assessment estimates $524 billion will be needed over the next decade for recovery, including $84 billion for housing and $68 billion for energy. By early 2025, 3.7 million people were internally displaced and 6 million had fled abroad. Major international pledges and new funds have been announced to support reconstruction.
