- Nokia Oyj HEL:NOKIA ended down 6.52% at 11.39 euros on Friday, wiping out its earlier weekly gains and posting a 3.35% weekly loss.
- Nokia’s U.S. ADR NYSE:NOK dropped 6.94% to $13.01 on Friday. Turnover hit 142.2 million shares, the highest ADR volume of the week.
- Nasdaq Helsinki is closed on Sunday. The exchange usually opens Monday to Friday, trading from 10:00 a.m. until 6:25 p.m. EEST.
- Nokia is in its Q2 closed window until July 23, when it reports second quarter and half-year numbers.

Nokia Oyj HEL:NOKIA shares did most of their drop on Friday. On Thursday, they traded at 12.185 euros, up 3.4% from the June 18 close of 11.785 euros. But by Friday, Nokia stock slipped to 11.39 euros, 3.35% lower than the June 18 level.
Nokia dropped 6.52% Friday. Reuters said Europe’s tech sector fell 1.2% the same day, while the STOXX 600 slipped 0.7%. Nokia’s loss was about five times the sector’s move. The stock ended down 6.5%.
Nokia’s ADRs NYSE:NOK dropped 6.94% on Friday, finishing at $13.01, down from $13.98 on Thursday. Trading volume jumped to 142.2 million shares after hitting 75.5 million the day before, nearly double. The U.S. line took more pressure.
The ADR dropped under its Friday open of $13.44, touching a low of $12.78 during the session. In after-hours trading, it moved down again, last at $12.92.
Tech stocks sold off as investors dumped risk. Reuters said global stocks were down on Friday, with traders taking profits out of big names in tech and chips. Richard Reyle, chief investment officer at Questar Capital Partners, said the AI story was “all over the place” right now and the market was “picking winners and losers.” Mark Hackett, chief market strategist at Nationwide, called the broad pullback “a needed and healthy period of consolidation.” Reuters
Nokia is keeping up its focus on AI. The company said June 22 it will put Alphabet Inc’s NASDAQ:GOOGL Gemini models into its Autonomous Network suite. Then on June 24, Nokia expanded its AWS work with Amazon.com Inc NASDAQ:AMZN.

Investors are holding out for earnings before backing the AI-networking trade. Nokia’s Q2 closed window started June 23 and will stay in effect until July 23, the date scheduled for second-quarter and half-year results.
Nokia traded in a tight range Friday in Helsinki, with shares hitting a low of 11.345 euros and a high of 12.095 euros. The stock finished the session about 24% off its June 3 intraday high of 14.995 euros.
