Microchip stock slides after surprise sales forecast — traders look to Feb. 5 for proof
Microchip Technology shares dropped 3% to $72.57 Wednesday, reversing part of Tuesday’s 12% surge after the company raised quarterly sales guidance to about $1.185 billion. Other analog chip stocks, including Texas Instruments and NXP Semiconductors, also declined. Microchip warned that order delays and factory utilization could impact costs if demand softens.
