Intel stock slides 3% as retail sales stall; INTC traders eye payrolls, CPI and tariff talk
Intel shares fell 3.1% to $48.70 in morning trading Tuesday after weak U.S. retail sales data and reports of possible chip-tariff carve-outs for Big Tech. The stock opened at $50.37 and traded about 22 million shares. Other chip stocks were mixed. Investors focused on upcoming jobs and inflation reports and policy uncertainty.
