Exxon Mobil stock slips as oil plunges; Venezuela crude and UK gas deal loom for XOM
Exxon shares fell 0.4% to $129.63 Thursday after crude prices dropped over 4% following U.S. comments easing Iran supply fears. The company faces additional pressure from Venezuela-related refinery feedstock issues and the canceled sale of UK gas assets. Exxon’s quarterly earnings are due Jan. 30. Chevron, BP, and Shell shares also declined.
