Gasoline prices wobble: UGA gasoline ETF dips after EIA flags big U.S. inventory build

U.S. gasoline inventories rose by 9 million barrels last week, pushing wholesale gasoline futures down 2.6% early Thursday to $1.7838 a gallon. The United States Gasoline Fund (UGA) closed Wednesday at $64.63, down 1.7%. Retail gasoline averaged $2.91 a gallon on Jan. 12, slightly lower than the previous week. Traders await the next EIA inventory report on Jan. 22.

Gasoline price today: UGA stock rises before EIA data as RBOB futures firm

United States Gasoline Fund LP (UGA) rose 1.6% premarket to $65.73 as NYMEX RBOB gasoline futures edged up 0.35% to $1.8329 a gallon. API reported U.S. gasoline inventories jumped by 8.23 million barrels last week. Traders await Wednesday’s EIA petroleum status report for official inventory data. AAA listed the national average retail gasoline price at $2.84 a gallon.

Gasoline price stock UGA jumps before the open as RBOB futures hover near $1.80

United States Gasoline Fund rose 0.8% in premarket trading Monday, reaching about $64.50 after closing at $63.98 Friday. RBOB gasoline futures hovered near $1.79 a gallon, with spring contracts showing a sharp premium. U.S. average gasoline prices fell to $2.80 a gallon, down 27 cents from last year. Brent crude slipped 0.2% to $63.19 a barrel as traders watched Iran headlines.
