Meta’s $9 Trillion Market Cap Bet Runs Into Fresh Legal Risk
Meta Platforms has tied new stock options for six top executives to a share price that would push its market value above $9 trillion by 2031. The awards follow two jury verdicts last week ordering Meta to pay $381 million over child safety claims, which sent shares lower. CEO Mark Zuckerberg is not included in the pay package. Meta said it plans up to $135 billion in capital spending in 2026, mostly for AI and infrastructure.
