ISRO’s Lunar Success (Chandrayaan-3) and Momentum for Mars Exploration
Chandrayaan-3 landed near the Moon’s south pole on August 23, 2023, deploying the Vikram lander and Pragyan rover for 14 days of surface operations and over 1,100 images and data, including soil temperature readings to 10 cm depth. The $75 million mission made India the fourth country to achieve a lunar soft landing.
