Korea Exchange stocks set new record as Kospi tops 4,300 on Samsung, SK hynix surge
South Korea’s Kospi closed at a record 4,309.63 Friday, up 2.27%, led by gains in Samsung Electronics and SK hynix. The won weakened to 1,441.8 per dollar, near a 16-year low. Foreign investors bought a net 644.68 billion won of shares. December exports rose 13.4% year-on-year.
