Chevron stock rises on Iraq oilfield talks, board move as investors eye earnings
Chevron shares rose 0.9% to $169.05 Tuesday as the company pressed Iraq for better terms on the West Qurna 2 oilfield deal, Reuters reported. Chevron named former American Airlines CEO Thomas Horton to its board ahead of Friday’s earnings. Brent crude climbed 3% to $67.57 a barrel after a U.S. winter storm disrupted output.
