Applied Materials (AMAT) stock rises on Deutsche Bank upgrade as chip-tool outlook comes back into focus
Applied Materials shares rose about 1% to $321.96 by midday Friday after Deutsche Bank upgraded the stock to Buy and raised its price target to $390. Around 2.6 million shares traded as the stock neared a 52-week high. The upgrade cited a stronger outlook for wafer fab equipment demand in 2026–27. Applied will report fiscal Q1 results and update guidance on Feb. 12.
