Internet Access in The Bahamas
As of January 2024, about 94.4% of Bahamians—390,800 people—used the internet, but only 24% had fixed broadband. Most rely on mobile data due to the country's scattered islands. Starlink satellite service, licensed in 2023, reached around 9,000 users by April 2025, especially on remote islands. Fiber projects and roaming agreements have expanded coverage since Hurricane Dorian.
