The company runs the largest fleet of Earth-observation satellites, feeding data into AI tools for border monitoring, military work, agriculture, and climate risk checks. Defense spending and new predictive analytics in the enterprise space are pushing the business forward. Planet says tighter AI tools are giving customers sharper insights and helping subscription revenue. Rocket Lab (RKLB) and BlackSky (BKSY) are building up AI for defense and commercial users, too. Shares of PL are up 29.9% this year, trading above the sector on hopes for more AI-driven gains.
