Barclays share price slips as buyback rolls on and Trump tariff threat jars markets
Barclays shares fell 0.8% to 479.35 pence in early London trading Tuesday, extending Monday’s 1.22% drop. The bank repurchased over 2 million shares on Jan. 19 as part of its buyback program. Investors remain focused on U.S. tariff threats and Barclays’ upcoming Feb. 10 earnings report. Barclays underperformed rivals Lloyds and HSBC in the session.
