Denman's health problems began in 2011, after she passed a tapeworm and then started having seizures, bad headaches, and trouble talking. Doctors found 38 parasites in her brain. Neurocysticercosis, caused by pork tapeworm larvae, can happen from eating food or touching things contaminated with the eggs-not just from undercooked pork-which makes it a health risk in some places.
