SpaceX Wins $81.6 Million U.S. Space Force Deal to Launch WSF-M2 Weather Satellite in 2027

SpaceX won an $81.6 million U.S. Space Force contract to launch the WSF-M2 weather satellite and BLAZE-2 rideshare on Falcon 9 from Vandenberg SFB in early FY2027. This is SpaceX’s third consecutive NSSL Phase 3 Lane 1 award. The WSF-M2 satellite, built by BAE Systems Space & Mission Systems, will help replace aging DMSP weather assets.
