American Airlines Stock Jumps After Q1 Revenue Outlook Lift, but Fuel Spike Still Clouds Profit
American Airlines shares climbed 4.5% Tuesday after the company raised its first-quarter revenue outlook, citing stronger-than-expected demand. The airline warned, however, that higher fuel prices would keep its quarterly loss near the weaker end of its prior range. Delta and United shares also rose after Delta lifted its revenue forecast. Over 12,500 U.S. flights were delayed or canceled Monday due to storms.
