DoorDash’s $100 Million Gas Bill Shows the Price of Keeping Drivers on the Road
DoorDash will spend about $100 million on gas relief for drivers in the first half of 2026 as U.S. fuel prices climb, with $50 million booked in Q1 and over $50 million expected in Q2. Shares rose 11% in premarket trading after the company forecast higher second-quarter order value. First-quarter orders rose 27% to 933 million, but revenue missed analyst estimates. CFO Ravi Inukonda said some investments were delayed to fund the program.
